Hello. My name is Brian Leonard and I am the owner and operator of Excel Investigations LLC. I have been a professional private investigator for the past 11 years. I am fully licensed (NJ license #6427), bonded, and insured.

I want to start off by letting you know, I Love My Job. I have a strong passion for conducting investigations and helping people. It is very gratifying when I am able to help my clients get the answers they need to deal with their extemely emotional, stressful and sometimes dangerous situations.  

I do not run a large, cookie cutter operation where you’re just a number or face in a crowd. I run a personalized business and work directly with every single one of my clients. I work with a small handful of highly experienced investigators allowing me to provide my clients superior results.

I have a law enforcement background and a B.A. degree in Criminal Justice/Political Science. In June of 2000, I left law enforcement in order to obtain my private investigator's license. This allowed me to pursue the kind of work I really had an interest in. Over the course of my career, I have conducted thousands (yes thousands) of discreet investigations and surveillances. My commitment to quality, my knowledge of investigations, and my high success rate have helped build my outstanding reputation as one of the best surveillance investigators in the profession. A large portion of my work comes from referrals and other investigators! Yes, many other investigation businesses across the country are confident enough in my abilities that they subcontract work to me on a regular basis.
